Ngāruawāhia is a town in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is located 20 kilometres north-west of Hamilton at the confluence of the Waikato and Waipā Rivers, adjacent to the Hakarimata Range. Ngāruawāhia is situated 3½ km southeast of Hakarimata Range.

Taupiri is a small town of about 500 people on the eastern bank of the Waikato River in the Waikato District of New Zealand. It is overlooked by Taupiri mountain, the sacred burial ground for the Waikato tribes of the Māori people, located just to the north. Taupiri is situated 6 km northeast of Hakarimata Range.

Glen Massey is a former mining village, 9.5 km west of Ngāruawāhia, which was, until 1958, terminus of the Glen Massey Line. It then went into decline, but is now becoming a home for Hamilton commuters. Glen Massey is situated 6 km southwest of Hakarimata Range.
