The de l'Étoile, often simply called the , is one of the most famous monuments in , France. It is located at the western end of the , at the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle—formerly known as Place de l'Étoile—named for the star-shaped configuration formed by the convergence of twelve radiating avenues.

The holds an unidentified member of the French armed forces killed during the First World War, to symbolically commemorate all soldiers who have died for France throughout history.

The is a lattice tower on the in , France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower from 1887 to 1889. is situated 1½ km south of Place Charles de Gaulle.
