Farne Lighthouse is a lighthouse on the southern tip of Inner Farne. Built in the early 19th century, it still functions as a lighthouse and is managed by Trinity House. In 1910 it was one of the first Trinity House lighthouses to be automated. Farne Lighthouse is situated 620 feet south of Prior Castell’s Tower.

The site was originally the location of a Celtic Brittonic fort known as Din Guarie and may have been the capital of the kingdom of Bernicia from its foundation c.
