Saint-Même-les-Carrières
Saint-Même-les-Carrières is a commune in the Charente department in southwestern France. The commune has been a centre of limestone quarrying since the Middle Ages, producing white Turonian limestone; stone from its quarries was used in the construction of the Rochefort naval arsenal in the 17th century.Places of Interest
