The Eiffel Tower is a lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower from 1887 to 1889. Eiffel Tower is situated 1 km southeast of Passy Cemetery.

The Trocadéro, site of the Palais de Chaillot, is an area of Paris, France, in the 16th arrondissement, across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. It is also the name of the 1878 Trocadéro Palace which was demolished in 1937 to make way for the Palais de Chaillot. Place du Trocadéro is situated 160 metres east of Passy Cemetery.

Passy is an area of Paris, France, located in the 16th arrondissement, on the Right Bank. It is adjacent to Auteuil to the southwest, and Chaillot to the northeast.

This large district occupies most of the West of Paris, extending east-west between the bends of the Seine from the Jardins of Trocadero immediately facing the Eiffel Tower to the expansive Bois du Boulogne, and north-south from the Etoile to the southern border of Paris.
