Ibiza is the major settlement on the eponymous island in Spain. "Ibiza" is the Spanish name; in Catalan, it is known as Eivissa. The locals call it Vila for short. Ibiza is widely known and visited for its exciting nightlife.

The village is in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia and is located close to the islands main Airport and straddles the designated road EI-800. Sant Jordi de ses Salines is situated 5 km southeast of Pityusic Islands.
