Midden-Drenthe

Beilen is a railway station located in Beilen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 May 1870, closed on 15 May 1938 and reopened on 1 June 1940. The station is located on the Meppel–Groningen railway. The services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

Beilen is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Midden-Drenthe, and lies about 16 km south of Assen. The old Reformed church is the only remaining truly old building; a large fire destroyed a major part of Beilen in 1820.

Zwiggelte is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Midden-Drenthe, and lies about 15 km south of Assen. The village was first mentioned around 1400 as Wolbert to Swicler, and could mean "meadow with cattle". Zwiggelte is situated 3½ km east of Midden-Drenthe.
