Nanstein Castle

Nanstein Castle is a ruined medieval spur castle above the town of Landstuhl, Germany, which has been partially reconstructed. Built in the 12th century, the red sandstone rock castle was once owned by Franz von Sickingen who was mortally wounded during a siege of the castle in 1523. Nanstein Castle is situated 3½ km northwest of Bann.

The Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, also known as Landstuhl Hospital, is a U.S. Army post in Landstuhl, Germany, near Ramstein Air Base. It is an amalgamation of Marceau Kaserne and Wilson Barracks, which were merged on October 15, 1951. Landstuhl Regional Medical Center is situated 4 km west of Bann.
