Punta Palau Lighthouse

Punta Palau Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located on the northern extremity of a granite promontory where, shaped by time, appears a natural sculpture that looks like a bear, symbol of Palau in front of the Maddalena archipelago on the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Palau is a town and comune in the Province of Gallura North-East Sardinia, in the autonomous island region of Sardinia in Italy, about 220 kilometres north of Cagliari and about 30 kilometres northwest of Olbia.

The Isuledda, also called Isola dei Gabbiani, is an almost-island in northern Sardinia, Italy, facing the Sardinian channel. Covering an area of approximately 180,000 m2, it is almost completely surrounded by the sea, and connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus of sandy terrain, hence, despite the name, it is in fact a peninsula.
