Jonzac is a commune of the Charente-Maritime department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, southwestern France. The historian Jean Glénisson was born in Jonzac as well as the philosopher Jean Hyppolite. Jonzac is situated 4½ km southeast of Lussac.
