La Rochelle

La Rochelle is a city in Charente-Maritime on the Atlantic coast of France. It has a charming old town and harbour, and is often called "la ville blanche" for its limestone buildings: they're handsome in any weather, but brilliant when the sun shines down from a big blue Atlantic sky.

Royan is a port city and seaside resort in Charente-Maritime, southwestern France. It's along with La Baule, Arcachon and Biarritz one of the most famous resorts on the French Atlantic coast.

Saintes is a city on the Charente river in Charente-Maritime, in southwestern France. It was the capital of the historical Saintogne County, many landmarks from its glorious past have been preserved, and as such it has been classified as a Ville d'art et d'histoire.
