Iconsiam is a mixed-use development on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. It includes a large shopping mall, which opened to the public on 9 November 2018, as well as hotels and residences. Iconsiam is situated 340 metres north of Rongrian Wat Suwan.

The Peninsula Bangkok is a 5-star hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The hotel opened in 1998, counting 37 floors and 367 rooms. The hotel was 50% owned by the Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels and 50% by the Phataraprasit family until 2020, when HSH purchased the Phataraprasit family's stake in the property. The Peninsula is situated 130 metres southeast of Rongrian Wat Suwan.

Bang Rak is a khwaeng and historic neighbourhood in Bangkok's Bang Rak District. It lies between the Chao Phraya River and Charoen Krung Road, and was home to communities of European expatriates who settled in the area mostly during the second half of the 19th century as Siam opened up to the West.
