The mosque was completed in 1616 CE, during the Safavid era, and was added to the Iran National Heritage List on 7 March 1977, administered by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran. Farahabad Mosque is situated 3 km southwest of Tazehabad-e Sepah.
