Pizzo Erra is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It is located south of the pass of Basso di Nara, on the subrange that separates the main valley of Leventina from the valley of Blenio. Pizzo Erra is situated 3½ km southwest of Acquarossa.

Acquarossa is the capital of the district of Blenio in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The municipality was created on 4 April 2004 by a merger of Castro, Corzoneso, Dongio, Largario, Leontica, Lottigna, Ponto Valentino and Prugiasco.

Blenio was created on 22 October 2006 when it incorporated the formerly autonomous municipalities of Aquila, Campo Blenio, Ghirone, Olivone and Torre of the upper Blenio valley. Blenio is situated 4½ km north of Acquarossa.

Torre was a municipality in the district of Blenio in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. On 25 January 2005, the cantonal authorities announced that Torre would merge with Aquila, Campo Blenio, Ghirone and Olivone to form a new municipality to be called Blenio. Torre is situated 3½ km northeast of Acquarossa.
