Planetrees is an extant section of Hadrian's Wall named after the farm located around 250 metres to the west. The surviving section is 35 metres in length.

Milecastle 24 was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. Its remains exist as a low platform, and are located to the south of the B6318 Military Road around 3 kilometres west of its junction with the A68.
