Planetrees is an extant section of Hadrian's Wall named after the farm located around 250 metres to the west. The surviving section is 35 metres in length.

Milecastle 24

Milecastle 24 was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. Its remains exist as a low platform, and are located to the south of the B6318 Military Road around 3 kilometres west of its junction with the A68.

Milecastle 25 was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. Its remains exist as a low platform, and are located to the south of the B6318 Military Road, nearly 5 kilometres to the west of its junction with the A68.

Hexham is a small market town in the Tyne valley of Northumberland, 24 miles west of Newcastle. It's an attractive place with a medieval abbey and jail, and a good base for exploring Hadrian's Wall to the northwest.

Acomb is a village in the south of Northumberland, England. The population at the 2001 Census was 1,184 increasing to 1,268 at the 2011 Census. It is situated to the north of Hexham, not far from the junction of the A69 road and A6079 road. Acomb is situated 2½ miles southwest of Wall.

Wall is a village in Northumberland, England situated to the north of Hexham close by the River North Tyne and Hadrian's Wall. The Battle of Heavenfield was fought nearby. The village has one pub and a garage. Wall is situated 2½ miles west of Wall.
