Sheepwash

Sheepwash is a village and civil parish on the southern border of the local government district of Torridge, Devon, England. The parish, which lies about nine miles ENE of the town of Holsworthy, about eight miles south of Great Torrington and about ten miles north-west of Okehampton, is surrounded clockwise from the north by the parishes of Buckland Filleigh, Highampton and Black Torrington.

Hatherleigh is a small market town in the West Devon district, in the county of Devon, England. In 2011 the parish had a population of 1306. The name Hatherleigh derives from either the Old English haguþornlēah meaning 'hawthorn wood or clearing' or from hǣddrelēah meaning 'heather wood or clearing'. Hatherleigh is situated 3½ miles east of Sheepwash.
