Penzance railway station serves the town of Penzance in west Cornwall, England. It is the terminus of the Cornish Main Line and the southernmost railway station in Great Britain, situated at milepost 326.5 miles from London Paddington.
Newlyn Tidal Observatory

Newlyn Tidal Observatory is a grade II listed tide gauge hut on the South Pier in Newlyn, Cornwall in England. Measurements of sea level taken at the observatory between 1915 and 1921 were used to define the reference level, Ordnance Datum Newlyn, for height measurement on the British mainland.

Newlyn is a fishing village in West Cornwall, a mile or two south of Penzance. The mediaeval quay, beloved of the Newlyn School painters, still exists and there are many charming cottages and narrow lanes to explore.
