Rowsley South railway station lies approximately 1 mile short of Rowsley village, the location of the settlement's previous stations. Rowsley South was the third station to be built in the area, constructed by Peak Rail volunteers in the late 1990s.

St Mary the Virgin's Church, South Darley is a Grade II listed parish church in the Church of England in South Darley, Derbyshire. At the entrance to the churchyard is a memorial to the men from the parish who died in the two world wars.

Rowsley is a village on the A6 road in the English county of Derbyshire. The population as at the 2011 census was 507. It is at the point where the River Wye flows into the River Derwent and prospered from mills on both. Rowsley is situated 2 miles northwest of Darley Dale.
