Scriven

Scriven is a village and civil parish in the county of North Yorkshire, England, close to the town of Knaresborough. From 1947 to 1998 Scriven was part of the Claro Registration District, until this was abolished.

Knaresborough railway station is a Grade II listed station serving the town of Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, England. It is located on the Harrogate Line 16 miles 50 chains from York between Starbeck and Cattal, and is managed by Northern Trains, who operate all services.

Knaresborough is a picturesque market town in North Yorkshire. It's four miles east of Harrogate, and bounded to the west by the deep gorge of the River Nidd. In 2024 the population was 16,500.

Harrogate is an attractive Regency / Victorian spa town in North Yorkshire, with fine public gardens, and on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Its spa hotels have morphed into conference and "wellness" centres, and it's well stocked with good eating places, including the famous Betty's Tea Rooms.
