Pangasinan is a province in the Ilocos Region of northern Luzon, the chief island of the Philippines. Its capital is Lingayen. Being in a fertile plain with an extensive coastline, the area is known for agricultural and aquatic products like corn crops, dried fish, carabao milk, duhat wine, nipa hut roofings, tuba and other products. Santa Barbara is situated 4 km southeast of Cabilocaan.

Dagupan is the largest city in Pangasinan, with a population of 174,000 people in 2020. That is not saying it couldn't use a bit of a facelift though. The city is among the top producers of milkfish in the province; it is sometimes called the Bangus Capital City.
