Sakashita Dam
Sakashita Dam is a dam located in Ōkuma, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. It was constructed by Hazama Corporation. The dam was completed in 1973. The catchment area for the dam is 12.5km2 There are about 230 people per square kilometer around Sakashita Dam which is quite densely populated, however, the area around the dam is mostly covered in mixed forest.Places of Interest Nearby

Tomioka is a town of about 1300 inhabitants in Fukushima prefecture, just off the Japanese east coast. These days its claim to fame, or maybe infamy is the nearby Fukushima nuclear power plant damaged by the massive 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.

Futaba is a town in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. As of 24 March 2025, the town had an actual population of 180, although the official registered population was 5,300 in 2,301 households. Futaba is situated 10 km northeast of Sakashita Dam.
