Muhanga is a city in the Southern Province, Rwanda, though it is physically closer to the centre of the country, about 45 km southwest of Kigali at an elevation of about 1,800 m.

Kabgayi is located just south of Gitarama in Muhanga District, Southern Province, Rwanda, 25 miles southwest of Kigali. It was established as a Catholic Church mission in 1905. Kabgayi is situated 10 km southwest of Gahamga.
