Huangshi City is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province. It is located in the southeast of Hubei Province, on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, facing Huanggang City in the northeast, Ezhou in the north, Wuhan and Ezhou in the west, and Xianning in the southwest.
