Joseph's Tomb is a funerary monument located in Balata village at the eastern entrance to the valley that separates Mounts Gerizim and Ebal, 300 m northwest of Jacob's Well, on the outskirts of the West Bank city of Nablus. Joseph’s Tomb is situated 2½ km southwest of Izmut.

Mount Ebal is one of the two mountains near the city of Nablus in the West Bank, and forms the northern side of the valley in which Nablus is situated, the southern side being formed by Mount Gerizim. Mount Ebal is situated 3½ km west of Izmut.

’Azmut is a Palestinian village in the Nablus Governorate in the eastern West Bank, located five kilometers northeast of Nablus. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the village had a population of 3,440 inhabitants in 2017.
