The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is a national museum in Cairo, Egypt. The museum displays a collection of 50,000 artifacts, presenting the Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the modern era. National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is situated 550 metres west of Maydān al Imām al Laythī.

Fustat, also Fostat, was the first capital of Egypt under Muslim rule, though it has been integrated into Cairo. It was built adjacent to what is now known as Old Cairo by the Rashidun Muslim general 'Amr ibn al-'As immediately after the Muslim conquest of Egypt in AD 641, and featured the Mosque of Amr, the first mosque built in Egypt. Fustat is situated 2 km west of Maydān al Imām al Laythī.

The Mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi'i is a mausoleum dedicated to al-Shafi'i, founder of the homonymous school of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence. Located at the Imam Shafi'i Street in the City of the Dead, Cairo, the mausoleum is a hallmark of Ayyubid style architecture and historical significance. Mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi’i is situated 560 metres northeast of Maydān al Imām al Laythī.
