Tahrir Square

Tahrir Square, also known as Martyr Square, is a public town square in downtown Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. It was first established in 1867. The square has been the location and focus for political demonstrations. Tahrir Square is situated 1½ km north of Mustashfá al Aţfāl al Jāmi‘ī.
