Kaksni is in the Nuwakot District. It is 20 km along the road from Kathmandu to Trisuli Baazar, the turn-off to the village is just before the police checkpoint where there is a cluster of shops.

Ramkot is a village of the Nagarjun Municipality, Bagmati Province, Nepal. The 2011 Nepal census recorded that Ramkot had a population of 6,303 people in 1,427 independent households. Ramkot is situated 6 km southeast of Katunje.

Tarakeshwar is situated 7 km east of Katunje.
