Chardon Township is one of the sixteen townships of Geauga County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census the population was 4,494. Chardon Township is situated 3½ miles southwest of Stanford Springs.

Chardon is the county seat of Geauga County. It is in Ohio's "snowbelt" and receives an average of 106 inches of snow each winter. In 1996, the National Guard was sent in after the city got about four feet of snow in less than a week.
