Tell es-Sultan, also known as Tel Jericho or Ancient Jericho, is an archaeological site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Palestine, in the city of Jericho, consisting of the remains of the oldest fortified city in the world. Tell es-Sultan is situated 2 km northwest of Maktabah ‘Āmmah.

Mount of Temptation, in Palestinian Arabic Jebel Quruntul, is a mountain over the city of Jericho in the West Bank; ancient Christian tradition identifies it as the location of the temptation of Jesus described in the New Testament Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, in which it is said that, from "a high place", the Devil offered Jesus rule over all the kingdoms of the world. Mount of Temptation is situated 3½ km northwest of Maktabah ‘Āmmah.
