Akrotiri is a Cycladic Bronze Age settlement site on the volcanic Greek island of Santorini. The name comes from the nearby village of Akrotiri. The settlement was destroyed during the Theran eruption sometime in the 16th century BC, and was buried in volcanic ash, which helped preserve its fine frescoes. Akrotiri is situated 3 km east of Panagía Kalamiótisa.

Megalochori is a quiet traditional village in the heart of Santorini, sitting on a hill facing east. The roads narrow as you get closer to the village, a mixture of cream and white Cycladic houses with contrasting colourful wooden doors.
