Vlychada is a fishing village on the southern shore of Thira, the largest island in the Santorini archipelago. It is the largest coastal settlement on the south coast, and has the only marina of significance in the archipelago.

Akrotiri is a town on the southwestern end of Thira, the largest island of the Santorini archipelago. Though it offers great view of the caldera and volcano, it is not as overrun by tourists like Fira and Oia.

Akrotiri

Akrotiri is a Cycladic Bronze Age settlement site on the volcanic Greek island of Santorini. The name comes from the nearby village of Akrotiri. The settlement was destroyed during the Theran eruption sometime in the 16th century BC, and was buried in volcanic ash, which helped preserve its fine frescoes.

Emporeio, also known as Nimborios, is a village on the island of Santorini, Greece. It is located 12 km from Fira, near the Profitis Ilias Mountains. According to the 2021 census, the community of Emporio has 3,704 permanent inhabitants. Emporeio is situated 3 km east of Almyrá.

Megalochori is a quiet traditional village in the heart of Santorini, sitting on a hill facing east. The roads narrow as you get closer to the village, a mixture of cream and white Cycladic houses with contrasting colourful wooden doors.
