Nangeenan is a small town west of Merredin on the Great Eastern Highway, in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. A railway siding was opened by the Western Australian Government Railways on the Eastern railway line in 1898. Nangeenan is situated 6 km west of Merredin Nature Reserve.

Merredin is a town in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, with a population of 2604 in 2021. It's traditionally a stopping point between Perth and the Kalgoorlie gold mines, and had a gold rush itself in the 1880s / 90s.
