Angkor Wat is a Theravada Buddhist and the largest religious complex in the world. Located on a site measuring 162.6 hectares within the ancient capital of Angkor, it was constructed between 1113 and 1150 CE during the reign of the Khmer king Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu. Angkor Wat is situated 3½ km west of Prasat Kravan.

Bat Chum is a small temple built by Kavindrarimathana, a learned Buddhist minister of Khmer king Rajendravarman, at the middle of the 10th century. It is about 400 meters south of Srah Srang, at Angkor, Cambodia. Bat Chum is situated 1 km northeast of Prasat Kravan.
