The Raung, or Mount Raung is one of the most active volcanoes on the island of Java in Indonesia. It is located in the province of East Java and has a 2-kilometer-wide and 500-meter-deep caldera surrounded by a grayish rim. Raung is situated 3½ km southeast of Gunung Gedong.
