Part of the city's Zone 15, it was known for being the most populous barangay in the Philippines, with a population of 261,729 according to the 2020 census, as well as the largest barangay in the country in terms of land area, measuring 574 hectares. Bagong Silang is situated 4½ km southeast of SM Manufacturing.
