Stanton is a home rule-class city in and the county seat of Powell County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 3,251 in the 2020 census. Stanton is the birthplace of Hall of Fame thoroughbred horse trainer Woody Stephens.

Rosslyn is an unincorporated community in Powell County, Kentucky, United States. A post office was established at Rosslyn in 1898, and remained in operation until 1917. The community most likely was named for the roses near the original town site. Rosslyn is situated 2½ miles east of Powell County Historical Marker.
