Harbiye is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Şişli, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 2,157. The neighbourhood takes its name from the Mekteb-i Harbiye that functioned here for many years, albeit with intervals, in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Vişne translates to "sour cherry" from Turkish and the neighborhood is named after İzzeti Mehmet Efendi, an Ottoman statesman nicknamed Vişnezade who was known to cultivate sour cherry in the place of this neighborhood.
