Al-Azhar Mosque

Al-Azhar Mosque, known in Egypt simply as al-Azhar, is a mosque in the historic Islamic core of the city of Cairo, Egypt. Commissioned as the new capital of the Fatimid Caliphate in 970 CE, it was the first mosque established in a city that eventually earned the nickname "the City of a Thousand Minarets". Al-Azhar Mosque is situated 1 km northwest of Mausoleum of Azrumuk.

Al-Azhar Park is a public park in Cairo, Egypt. It is located in qism al-Darb al-Ahmar, in Historic Cairo. Among several honors, this park is listed as one of the world's sixty great public spaces by the Project for Public Spaces.

The Citadel of Cairo or Citadel of Saladin is a medieval Islamic-era fortification in Cairo, Egypt. Its construction was begun by Salah ad-Din in 1176 and continued by subsequent Egyptian rulers. Saladin Citadel of Cairo is situated 1½ km southwest of Mausoleum of Azrumuk.
