Yasser Arafat International Airport was an airport in the Gaza Strip. It was located between Rafah and Dahaniya, close to the Egyptian border. The facility was built as a result of the Oslo Accords and opened on 24 November 1998 as Gaza International Airport. Yasser Arafat International Airport Ruins is situated 1½ km east of Rafah Border Crossing.

Kerem Shalom border crossing is a border crossing at the junction of two border sections: one between the Gaza Strip and Israel, and one between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. It is used by trucks carrying goods from Israel or Egypt to the Gaza Strip. Kerem Shalom border crossing is situated 3½ km south of Rafah Border Crossing.

Rafah was a city in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestine, that served as the capital of the Rafah Governorate. It was located 30 kilometers south-west of Gaza City. Rafah is situated 3 km north of Rafah Border Crossing.

Kerem Shalom is a kibbutz in southern Israel. Located on the triple Gaza Strip-Israel-Egypt border, it falls under the jurisdiction of Eshkol Regional Council. In 2023 it had a population of 236. Kerem Shalom is situated 3½ km southeast of Rafah Border Crossing.
