The Citadel of Cairo or Citadel of Saladin is a medieval Islamic-era fortification in Cairo, Egypt, built by Salah ad-Din and further developed by subsequent Egyptian rulers. Saladin Citadel of Cairo is situated 420 metres northeast of Mosque of Muhammad Ali.

The Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hasan is a monumental mosque and madrasa located in Salah al-Din Square in the historic district of Cairo, Egypt. It was built between 1356 and 1363 CE during the Bahri Mamluk period, commissioned by Sultan an-Nasir Hasan. Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is situated 530 metres north of Mosque of Muhammad Ali.

The Al-Rifa'i Mosque is a mosque located in Citadel Square, adjacent to the Citadel, in Islamic Cairo, Egypt. Its name is derived from the Ali Abu Shubbak who is buried in the mosque. Al-Rifa’i Mosque is situated 570 metres north of Mosque of Muhammad Ali.
