Pinery is a locality in South Australia's lower Mid North. At the 2006 census, Pinery had a population of 279 but the locality was included with the town of Owen in the 2011 census and residents were not counted separately. Pinery is situated 4½ km northwest of Gramar.

Owen is a rural community in the heart of the Adelaide Plains. Owen is 46 metres above sea-level and receives a reliable 416 mm of rain annually. First settled in about 1865, it is about 80 km north of Adelaide in South Australia and is approximately 40 minutes by road to the nearest main regional centre of Gawler. Owen is situated 8 km northeast of Gramar.
