San Stefano
San Stefano is a neighborhood in Alexandria, Egypt. The area was known for a landmark hotel-casino that was demolished in the late 1990s. The mosque is named in honour of Sheikh Bishr Ibn Al-Hussein Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ubayd Allah Ibn Al-Hussein Ibn Bishr Al-Jawhari, a sheikh from the late 5th-century to early 6th-century AH who lived in Alexandria after coming from the Maghreb. sidi bishr mosque is situated 2½ km northeast of San Stefano.
