Phước Mỹ Trung is a rural commune of Vĩnh Long Province, Vietnam. The commune covers 8.25 km2, with a population of 7,303 in 1999, and a population density of 885 inhabitants/km2. It is a seat of Mỏ Cày Bắc District. Phước Mỹ Trung is situated 7 km southwest of Tân Thông Một.

Ben Tre is the capital of eponymous Ben Tre Province in Southern Vietnam. Although separated from bustling My Tho only by the Mekong River and 10 km on a four-lane highway, this seems to be barrier enough to give the town a genuine backwater feeling.
