It contains the tombs of the seventh and ninth Twelver Shī'ī Imāms, respectively Mūsā al-Kādhim and his grandson Muhammad al-Jawad. Kadhimain Shrine is situated 1½ km west of Jāmi‘ al Mudīrīyah.
