In June 2025, Phủ Thông Commune was established through the merger of the entire natural area and population of Vi Hương Commune, Phủ Thông Town, Tân Tú Commune, and Lục Bình Commune of Bạch Thông District. Phủ Thông is situated 7 km north of Cầu Na Cù.
