Tverskoy District is a district of of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. Population: 75,378 ; 75,955 . The district extends from Kitai-gorod northwest to Belorussky and Savyolovsky Rail Terminals.

The is a historic opera house in , , originally designed by architect Joseph Bové. Before the October Revolution it was a part of the Imperial Theatres of the Russian Empire along with Maly Theatre in Moscow and a few theatres in Saint Petersburg.
