Hassan’s Tower

Hassan Tower or Tour Hassan; is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco. It was commissioned by Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, the third caliph of the Almohad Caliphate, near the end of the 12th century. Hassan’s Tower is situated 540 metres north of Hotel Mercure Shehrazade.

Open since 1932, its known for holding the most extensive collection of archaeological artefacts found in the kingdom, most notably a bust of the famous Amazigh king Juba II.
