Mitrovica District is one of the seven districts of Kosovo. Its administrative center and the largest city is Mitrovica. The Fortress of Zvečan, also known as Zvečan/Zveçan medieval fortress and Fortress of Mitrovica, located in the northwest of the city of North Mitrovica, in Kosovo, is an enormous castle and one of the oldest fortresses in Southeastern Europe.

The Adem Jashari Olympic Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Mitrovica, Kosovo, which is used mostly for football matches and has been the home ground of the Kosovan football club KF Trepça since 1999.
