The Théâtre du Châtelet is a theatre and opera house, located on the Place du Châtelet in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, France. One of two theatres built on the site of a châtelet, a small castle or fortress, it was designed by Gabriel Davioud at the request of Baron Haussmann between 1860 and 1862. Théâtre du Châtelet is situated 120 metres southeast of Le Grand Hotel De Champaigne.

The Pont Neuf is the oldest standing bridge across the river Seine in Paris, France. It stands by the western point of the Île de la Cité, the island in the middle of the river that between 250 and 225 BC was the birthplace of Paris.
