Tinside Lido
Tinside Lido is a 1935 Art Deco lido in the city of Plymouth in southwest England. It is sited beside Plymouth Sound and is overlooked by Plymouth Hoe and Smeaton's Tower. The lido opens in the summer months between May and September.Photo: Nilfanion, CC BY-SA 3.0.

Smeaton's Tower is a redundant lighthouse, now a memorial to civil engineer John Smeaton, designer of the third and most notable Eddystone Lighthouse. A major step forward in lighthouse design, Smeaton's structure was in use from 1759 to 1877, until erosion of the ledge it was built upon forced new construction. Eddystone Light is situated 400 feet north of Tinside Lido.
